Iced Pink Lagoon Soda

  • by

This light and refreshing beverage is perfect for a hot summer’s day. The lemony hibiscus flavour from the tea and the crispness from the soda is a great combination. Best part is this drink is easy and simple to make!

How to make pink lagoon soda

Make the Tea

  • 1 tbsp of pink lagoon loose leaf
  • 1 cup of hot water @ 205 degrees F
  • Steep the tea for 5 minutes

Make the Simple Syrup

  • In a separate shot glass
  • Add 2 tsp brown sugar and a splash of hot water, stir until combined

Put it all together

  • Fill a glass with ice (make sure it’s one that can fit 2 cups of liquid in it)
  • Once tea has finished steeping, pour it over the ice
  • Add the simple syrup (i.e. brown sugar and water)
  • Add 1 cup of soda (we just used the club soda from President’s Choice)
  • Top off with more ice if desired
  • Can adjust sugar level as desired

Sweetening Alternatives

HONEY: If you want to use honey instead of brown sugar – add 1.5 tsp of honey to the tea and stir until combined before pouring it over ice

NO SUGAR: If you want to omit the sugar from this recipe, steep 2 tbsp of tea with 1 cup of water and eliminate the sugar from this recipe
