Matcha coconut nog with marshmallow + nutmeg
This matcha recipe is a holiday spin to a classic matcha latte. It combines a rich dairy free coconut nog with the umami flavour and sweetness of matcha bedazzled with marshmallows and nutmeg. If you are vegan you can substitute the marshmallows with a vanilla soy or even just brown sugar to sweeten your drink.

What you will need
- 1 tsp of ceremonial matcha (we used our own ceremonial matcha but you can use whatever you have on hand!)
- 1 cup of filtered water boiled at 85 degrees C
- 1.5 cups of dairy free coconut nog (or any eggnog you have in your fridge should work fine too! We just used the one we had on hand.)
- 1/4 cup of marshmallows
- Dash of nutmeg spice
Make your matcha eggnog
- Pour 1.5 cups of the coconut nog and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds
- In the meantime, boil your filtered water at 85 degrees C
- Once the water is done boiling, combine 1tsp of ceremonial matcha and 1cup of hot filtered water. Whisk to combine using either an electronic frother or your matcha whisk. Whisk until matcha has a layer of frothy green bubbles
- Take the warm coconut nog out of the microwave and pour over matcha
- Add your marshmallows
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top
